YOGHURT CAKE: EASY PEASY!

Simple to make this recipe is “child’s play” and it’s also delicious.

For more colour just add raspberries, blackberries or chocolate powder – you choose.

This cake recipe is for 8 people or 6 hungry food-lovers. It takes 15 minutes to prepare and 35 minutes to bake in the oven.

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 jar of natural yoghurt (you can choose a different flavour, like vanilla – but do clean and keep the empty pot as you need it for the recipe).
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 yoghurt pots of flour
  • 2 pots of powdered sugar
  • 1 pot of neutral tasting oil (meaning tasteless)
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

So now that you have all the ingredients you can start.  Wait … I forgot to tell you to tie your hair back if needed, wash your hands and put on an apron so as not to get dirty.

STEP 1

Preheat oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6)

 

STEP 2

Pour the yoghurt into a bowl with the sugar and eggs. Mix it all together into a whitish dough.  I know, it’s weird!

STEP 3

Pour in the oil and add the flour with the yeast and salt.  Mix well so that your dough is smooth.

STEP 4

Oil the entire surface of your mold.  Pour in the preparation and leave in the oven for about 35 minutes.

STEP 5

Keep checking whether it’s cooked by sliding the blade of a knife into the centre of your cake.  If the blade comes out clean it’s cooked.
