For all those who haven\u2019t yet bought my book, here is my pancake recipe for \u201cLa Chandeleur\u201d\u00a0(Candlemas) which will be celebrated on Friday 2nd<\/sup> February, just 40 days after Christmas.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a meal idea for everyone. It can be sweet or savoury, and you can make it however you like it.<\/h2>\n

Why Candlemas?<\/h2>\n

It was previously known as \u201cLa Chandeleuse\u201d which comes from the word \u201cchandelle\u201d (candle).<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i>Although Candlemas is synonymous with a Christian holiday, it has long been a celebration for children who love to \u201cflip\u201d pancakes. It\u2019s full of family and friendly fun which is why we share this Holiday with friends and children:<\/p>\n

Pancakes make everyone happy.<\/p>\n

It is associated with pancakes which is great fun for us.<\/p>\n

A tradition to remind us that winter is coming to an end.<\/p>\n

According to tradition, when making the first pancake, it\u2019s a good idea to flip it several times in a row to deflect bad luck away from us for the coming year, whilst also holding a coin in your left hand, too bad left-handers! No, I\u2019m only joking! It\u2019s to attract happiness and prosperity.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re certainly good reasons to do it!<\/p>\n

Mine will be with strawberry or raspberry jam which I love. What about you\u2026<\/p>\n
