As well as fruits, which are interchangeable. You can also switch regular sugar for confectioner\u2019s sugar, brown sugar, regular sugar syrup, or agave syrup (you\u2019ll need lots of agave syrup though). The quantities should be similar in terms of cups and size, but it would be a bit of an experiment and might end up a bit different. If you\u2019re in a pinch, it\u2019s worth a try!
